Tie Dye Eggs Made Simple!
If you are looking for an easier way to tie dye Easter eggs, look no further! I found a great video and thanks to Queen Leilani on YouTube, I will more than likely use the technique she used in her demonstration from now on!
People laugh at me all the time when I tell them, I really do not know how to tie dye an Easter egg! I only know how to color them one basic color. I also know how to put stickers and characters on them, but when it came down to trying to make them fancier; I failed dramatically!
As a child, our tradition on Easter morning, was to make our eggs and then the adults would hide them around the house or yard. Now depending on the weather, we mostly had to stay inside because it always seemed to rain. Our Easter egg hunts were still fun though, because we were timed on how long we had to find them and whoever found the most eggs, won a prize in the end of the game!
Now that I have a son, I want to continue this same family tradition for my new family. Last year, he was one so he really didn’t get to do much of any kind of seeking without assistance. Since he is two this year and loves finding stuff, I’m pretty confident that he will enjoy this game!
This motivated me to finally have some real groovy eggs to take pictures of when my son finds them! I made sure to I find a video that is short, simple, cute, and only need a few ingredients.
Items needed include:
- Dozen of Boiled Eggs
- 4 Bowls of Hot Water
- Food Coloring (your choice of 4 colors)
- Rubber Bands (the key to tie dye look)
- 1 Teaspoon of White Distilled Vinegar
