How to: Make a Quick Omelet in a Bag…
I don’t know about you, but making an omelet can be a complicated task. It seems like when you want them to look perfect, they look that much messier! I guess part of the problem I thought was I do not own one of those handy omelet makers. You know the ones you see on commercials and infomercials? They always make it look so easy, yet in the back of my mind I know I would just mess it up anyway! Today’s recipe of the day is more than likely going to change anyone’s life! Someone over at Favorite Family Recipes was very clever for the recipe that you can find below.
This recipe was certainly meant for us that want to create the perfect omelet without having a huge mess to clean up. You can also have this meal for lunch or dinner if you want to. If you’re trying to eat better, try making this recipe by only using egg whites along with all the veggies you want! Have a busy week ahead? You can probably prep this dish in advance as well.
When it comes down to making an omelet, it truly is your choice of what ingredients you want. It’s an endless list of what really goes into this meal, but here’s a quick list of what was used in the featured video.
- 1 Ziploc bag
- 2 Eggs (you can also use egg whites)
- All of your favorite toppings (cheese, spinach, meat, etc…)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Boiled water in a pot
*If you are going to do more than one omelet, you must use another Ziploc bag.
- Add all ingredients into the Ziploc bag and shake well
- Place bag into boiling water for a few minutes
- Serve and top with extra toppings
