Let the Pain Fade Away & Allow Peace to Enter…
It’s not easy to let the past fade away because whether good or bad, we have a tendency to hold onto things that make an impression on us. How many times have we sat around with family or friends reminiscing about something funny that happened years ago? How many times have we sat alone at home and reminisced about things that did not go so well and think about what could have or should have been done differently?
Now, it is time to let go of the past and focus on today. Truthfully, many people have regrets and those regrets can weigh heavily on their shoulders if they don’t forgive themselves and heal. The healing takes place by acknowledging that mistakes have been made and lessons have been learned. Realize that what we do today can have a lasting effect on the rest of our lives. We do not need to be tied down to yesterday’s trial and tribulations, but uplifted knowing that we can choose to do things better the next time around.
At the core of every human being is the inherent want and need to let negativity go, in order to form a more optimistic view of reality. Every time we release the darkness and search for the light we are setting ourselves up for a brighter future (no pun intended). Realistically, we know it is not an easy task to kick out the old and usher in the new, but every time we do this we get a bit stronger. After a while, we get used to letting the bad stuff go and become comfortable with the alternative. The alternative is love, peace and joy and we will allow them to manifest in our lives once we have opened the door for unsavory feelings and thoughts to fade away. Be well!
