Hang On, You’re Not Finished Yet…
Thomas Jefferson once said, “When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.” This quote, is very meaningful to anyone that might be feeling like they want to give up. After having such a hard week in my personal life, this stood out to me to spread this message to others who might have had a rough one too.
The most successful people have struggled themselves by wanting to quit. It is only in that moment, where they held on that much tighter before their miracle came. Bill Gates first business had failed and it completely devastated him, but it didn’t defeat him. He kept holding on to his dream and soon enough, he became a billionaire worth $80.7 billion.
Thomas Edison, the creator of the light bulb was unsuccessful and failed anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 times, until he was finally able to have a breakthrough. His breakthrough did not break him and because he didn’t give up, we have light bulbs in our homes as well as everywhere we go.
Oprah Winfrey overcame molestation, poverty, and many other personal setbacks that tried to stand in her way. She went on to become a self proclaimed female billionaire and a philanthropist. She could have let her trials and tribulations stop her from her goals, however, she held on to the vision of becoming someone who inspires many around the world.
The hardest part about achieving something, is to not quit when things get tough. Life is very demanding and plans always change, but we must continue to push forward and hold on the best way we can. We just need to continue to have faith and don’t give in to the rougher times. The best is yet to come! Have a great day!
