Willpower is Within You…
Do you sometimes find yourself struggling to have the willpower to do what you need to do during the day. I know how that feels and I would like to share some advice with you to get you on your way today. Willpower is defined by Merriam Webster as having, “strong determination that allows you to do something difficult.” In my opinion, when we get unmotivated to do certain things in our lives, I feel that it is ok. It means that we have gotten to “comfortable” in what we are doing and our challenges are not being fulfilled. When that happens, we need to recharge and get the drive back that we once had. So how do we go about doing that? We must be reminded of the vision that we are trying to get towards.
An example could be if you are trying to lose weight, and you are going through the plateau stage; do you give up or do you keep going? You would keep going because it only means that your body has gotten use to everything that you are eating or the workouts that you do daily. Having that inner power, you will be able to kick it up a notch and once again “challenge” yourself to get the extra remaining weight off. The key in this scenario, is to never give up because there is a reward in the end. Once you hit a bump in the road, examine what it is and conquer it head on!
Willpower always comes from within and it is that voice that says inside, “I can do this.” When you start making up a million excuses how you can’t, that voice has power in it and will push you to get what you need to get done. Remember to take it one step at a time, even if it is baby steps; you will eventually get to where you are going.
With all that being said, I want you to not only have willpower, I want you become it! Let it flow through your veins so that everyday you wake up, your making every single day count. You can and will do whatever it is you are striving for because you have the power to do so!
