Tip # 1 Buy your party supplies at the dollar store
The Dollar Tree is an excellent source to find a great deal on party supplies if you are on a tight budget but still want to have the “sport theme” decorations. They have various cups, plates, plastic wear, napkins, serving dishes, décor and much more. Since Sunday is the big game day, there is no need to go out and purchase an expensive amount of items that will only be most likely thrown away be the end of the night.
Tip # 2 Bring your own dish
Having a potluck is a great way to save you a decent amount of cash, because it allows your guests to bring a dish of their own, so you won’t have to spend all of your money on the groceries. Potlucks are also good to share recipes with your friends and associates so keep that in mind as well.
Tip # 3 Make your own drinks
There are several ways that you are able to make your own alcoholic beverages that will be pleasing to your visitors. Websites such as tipsybartender.com, allrecipes.com, and foodnetwork.com are great sites to find fabulous drink recipes. Some of these drinks can also be done in bulks to serve a much larger crowd. If in fact, you have an abundance of people attending your party, don’t be afraid to tell them to BYOB (bring your own beverage) if you prefer not to make any drinks at all.
Tip # 4 Find deals at your local grocery stores
If you will be preparing all of the food, consider comparing prices at places like Target, Walmart, Kroger, and your local grocery stores. Around the big game day, you will notice these stores offer great deals but it is imperative that you compare the prices before going shopping. You also may want to gather your coupons as well to save even more money!
